HOW TO COPY AND PASTE YOUR REVIT DETAIL VIEWS TO ANOTHER PROJECT

NOW I KNOW... IN REVIT, IT JUST TAKE FEW STEPS TO TRANSFER DRAFTING VIEWS TO ANOTHER PROJECT

Just for your reminder, this is not a new trick or tip for many of Revit users. While I am working projects in Revit, I have found many of the Legends, drafting views, or even sheets are redundant from project to project. When it comes to use similar or exact same detail views from another Revit project, I used to try to copy whatever views that I wanted to paste into my new project. However, Revit does not allow you to simply copy the views and paste to another project. Therefore, I was manually creating new drafting view, legend, or sheet to the new project and going into the view from old project. There, I was able to copy them and pasted it to the new project.

It certainly takes lots of time and efforts. One day, I finally felt this is enough and start google it to search “how to transfer detail views from another Revit file”. Of course, right away, I have found the ways to transfer detail views from another Revit project to another. I was kind of regretting myself not even bothers to look for the solution when it takes me just couple minutes.
